Student spotlight is an ongoing series focusing on Jennings County students.

Autumn Abrell is a senior at Jennings County High School. She is the daughter of Matt and Dawn Abrell.

Autumn was nominated by Adrian Kirchner who teaches accounting, yearbook and college

and careers preparatory classes.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and why?

My favorite teacher is Adrian Kirchner because I always do well in his class. He is very easy to learn from and is a really great person.

Q: What is your favorite subject and why?

My favorite subject is accounting with Kirchner because I learn easily from him.

Q: What school affiliated clubs/organizations do you participate in?

I am currently an intern at the Jennings Veterinarians here in town.

Q: What are your hobbies?

My favorite thing to do in my free time is spending time with my dad, my pets and shopping.

Q: Will you be attending college? What will you study and where would you like to go to college?

I plan to attend college. I plan to study Veterinary Technology at the International Business College in Indianapolis.

Q: What are your future goals after school/college?

To start working in the Veterinary Technician field.

Q: Do you currently have a job?

I work at Rumors Salon.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? What exciting places have you traveled to?

If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would like to visit Greece or Paris. The most exciting place I have been to is Florida.

Q: What is your anticipated graduation date?

I will be graduating on June 1, 2024.

Q: What is something interesting about you that not everyone knows?

Something interesting about me is that I once had a birthmark on my back that faded over time.

Q: What is your favorite book or movie?

My favorite movie to watch is A Dog’s Purpose.
