PAOLI — Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales continued visiting counties in southern Indiana last week, with a stop in Orange County, among others, to hand deliver election improvement grants.

More than 60 Indiana counties will be receiving Federal Help America Vote Act grant dollars to go towards local election improvement and security efforts. Statewide grants are valued at approximately $2 million. So far this week, Secretary Morales has presented checks to more than a dozen counties, including today’s stops.

Counties submitted proposals and requests were reviewed/approved by Secretary Morales and team.

“As Indiana’s Chief Election Officer, I spent the past year building relationships with our county clerks. Through countless conversations, I saw firsthand their dedication to Hoosier voters. It was so important to me to hand deliver these grant checks. I’m looking forward to seeing the funding help improve elections across our state,” Morales said.
