Around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, K-9 Justice and his handler Sgt. Travis Sutphin assisted in an investigation into a juvenile who had been reported as missing in the Zionsville area, BCSO said. The juvenile was initially reported as missing around 2:15 p.m. that same day.

Justice and his handler received help from another K-9 team consisting of K-9 Chase and his handler Sgt. Ryan Musgrave, BCSO said.

The pair of K-9s eventually caught a scent after coming across the missing juvenile’s sweatshirt.

K-9 Justice followed the scent through wooded areas, multiple creeks and farm fields for around three-quarters of a mile until finding the juvenile sitting by a pond. The juvenile was safely returned to their family.
