WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Officials with the West Lafayette Police Department released information regarding an early Tuesday morning drug raid that led to the arrest of six people.
According to a news release from the department, officers were granted a search warrant after police determined there was probable cause to believe there were “illegal drugs” at an apartment in West Lafayette.
When officers searched the apartment around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the release said that the officers were able to locate:
- Methamphetamine
- “Spice”
- Marijuana
- Other controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia
The search also resulted in six arrests, the release said, including:
- Kayla D. Gedcus, a 33-year-old West Lafayette resident, who faces preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependent and possession of paraphernalia.
- Deondre E. Barron, a 28-year-old West Lafayette resident, who faces a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance.
- Elizabeth L. Belli, a 36-year-old West Lafayette resident, who faces preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
- Tara L. McIntosh, a 45-year-old Lafayette resident, who faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of marijuana and three outstanding warrants.
- Cero W. Russell, a 61-year-old Lafayette resident, who faces preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance, theft and visiting a common nuisance.
- Jamarion K. Tyler, a 21-year-old Lafayette resident, who faces a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance.
Officials said a juvenile male was released into the “safe custody of the Department of Child Services.”
