LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -Â The Lafayette Aviators played in front of a full home crowd on Sunday at Loeb Stadium.
The Aviators faced off against the Chillicothe Paints, with the game starting at 3 p.m. Even with higher temperatures near the 90’s, fans packed the stadium for the game. Some even stood in line as early as 1:30 to get free jerseys.
April Szostak and her kids found ways to stay cool by taking some breaks in the shade.. They also had a handheld fan to help as well.
“It’s got a nice breeze once in awhile through here, we just stand up and cheer,” Szostak said. “Baseball is fun. Go Aviators.”
The next home game for the Aviators is Tuesday at 7 p.m.
