Ella Collier, the 2023 NAIA National Player of the Year and a four-time All-American, announced Thursday that she’s joining the Purdue women’s basketball team as a graduate transfer. The Danville High School product has one year of eligibility remaining.
Collier played at Marian University where the 6-foot guard finished her career as the program leader in career points (2,260), scoring average (16.6), field goals made (826), 3-pointers made (249), 3-point percentage (.459), free throws made (359) and free throw percentage (.942).
Purdue coach Katie Gearlds coached Collier at Marian in the 2020-21 season before Gearlds took the Purdue job.
Also on Thursday, Purdue landed 6-1 forward Reagan Bass in the transfer portal. A two-time All-MAC player at Akron, she averaged 16.4 points and a MAC-best 9.9 rebounds per game as a junior in 2023-24.
Collier and Bass join Destini Lombard (Stephen F. Austin) and Mahri Petree (UTEP) in the Boilers’ transfer class.
