OAKDALE, Ind. — The Oakdale Dam is expected to reach a high water level by Thursday at midnight.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the dam will reach 20,000 CFS (cubic feet per second, or the equivalent of over 149,610 gallons of water flowing by a particular point in one second) by 12 a.m.
CCSO is encouraging nearby residents to seek higher ground immediately. They are also advising caution in the area, as flood waters are still expected to rise.
Currently, CR 1200 W between CR 725 N and CR 600 N is closed due to high water.
